Mr. Tousignant obtained his civil Engineering degree from the University of Ottawa (1988), and a graduate diploma in Waste Management and Groundwater Contamination (1990) as well as his Master of Engineering degree from McGill University (1991). His graduate research specialized in the biodegradation of PAHs in soils. His research consisted of measuring the effects of forced aeration on biodegradation in a soil matrix. After his studies, Mr. Tousignant performed consulting work and environmental audits of industrial sites in the province of Quebec and Ontario. He has also conducted bearing capacity studies, landfill designs, soils investigation for a major pipeline project, compliance monitoring for wastewater treatment plants, bioremediation feasibility studies, environmental site assessments, and soil decontamination projects. mr. Tousignant is licensed as a professional engineer by the PEO and OIQ..

LPT Enviro is a privately owned engineering consulting firm located in Canada's National Capital Region and is operated under the name of “LPT Enviro incorporated”. Started in 1995, it has formed strategic alliances with firms across Ontario and Quebec in order to better serve its clients. LPT Enviro presently has three full-time staff members.
